The Concept: Why '해반'
'해반'은 전통 소반인 해주반 천판의 능형 윤곽을
현대적으로 재해석한 시리즈입니다.
불필요한 장식을 덜어내고 본연의 선을 다듬어,
일상의 공간에 나직이 자리하는 사물로 담아냈습니다.

The Craft: Features
1. 통판을 파내어 만든 일체형 구조
해주반의 변죽이 그러하듯, 해반 역시 두꺼운 원목 통판의 속을 정성스럽게 깎아내어 형태를 잡습니다.
별도의 부재를 덧붙이지 않은 일체형 구조는 나뭇결의 흐름을 끊지 않으며,
시간이 흘러도 변함없는 견고함을 유지합니다.
2. 구름을 닮은 실루엣
네 모서리에는 해주반에서 볼 수 있는 능형(菱形) 곡선을 적용했습니다.
버선코처럼 살짝 들린 이 곡선들이 유기적으로 연결되어, 구름과 같은 유려한 실루엣을 완성합니다.
3. 부드러운 테두리
테두리를 둥근 원통의 형태로 가공 하여 현대적으로 변주했습니다.
손에 닿는 감촉이 부드럽고, 완만한 볼륨감이 공간에 편안함을 더합니다.

The Concept: Why 'Haeban'
Haeban reinterprets the rhomboid contours of the Haejuban,
a traditional Korean small table.
By stripping away excess and refining the essential lines,
we create wooden objects that settle quietly into everyday spaces.
The Craft: Features
1. Solid Carving
Just as the rim of a traditional Haejuban is made,
Haeban is formed by carefully carving out the core of a thick solid wood plank.
This seamless, integrated structure allows the wood grain to flow uninterrupted and ensures lasting durability over time.
2. Cloud Silhouette
The four corners feature rhomboid curves found in Haejuban.
These organic, gently lifted lines create a fluid silhouette like a drifting cloud.
3. Cylindrical Rim
The rim is finished in a smooth cylindrical shape.
Soft to the touch when handled,
its gentle volume brings a sense of ease to any space.
